Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I use the Super Magic Sponge A: Run water over the sponge and soak it just like using any other sponge. The key is using water. You will notice that as you use it, the dirt will transfer into the sponge. You will want to frequently rinse out the sponge. After removing the dirt , clean up excess water and dirt with cloth or paper towel. Q: Are there any places where you might not want to use the sponge? A: Before using the sponge on a surface, you will want to try it on a inconspicuous place. So far the only place we have used it that causes damage is on stained wood surfaces. It will remove the stain from wood. Hard excessive scrubbing can cause damage to surfaces. Q: What about glass surfaces A: Cleans hard to remove spots from glass with no problem. It will clean bugs off your windshield better than anything we have found so far. Q: What about painted metal? A: The Magic Sponge is an abrasive surface. It has the potential of rubbing through many surfaces. If used softly you will be able to clean many surfaces with no damage. Excessive hard and frequent rubbing will, just like a sandpaper, go through the surface. Use caution! Q: Is the product environmentally safe? A: Yes, there are no toxic chemicals that can be washed out of the sponge. Do not use anything but water. Q: Are there any precautions to take when using the product? A: There are no toxic ingredients that can hurt you while using the sponge. You will not need to wear gloves unless you are trying to protect yourself from the grime. Remember that it works like a super fine sandpaper. Excessive rubbing on your body can cause abrasions and a rash. Q: What about use for children? A: There are no toxic chemical hazards to worry about, but the product will tear and can be ingested and cause choking and blockage of an air way. Children also may be inclined to rub parts of their body. It is recommended to keep from small children. Q: I have heard that it has formaldehyde in it. Is that true? A: Most fruits and vegetables have a higher amount of formaldehyde than the sponge. A chemical process that contains formaldehyde is used to make the sponge, but it is gone by the time the processing is complete Q: Where does your product come from? A: We are one of the authorized distributors for BASF in Germany. They are the first and best manufacturer of the sponge. The Chinese are trying to duplicate the process but so far have only succeeded in making a inferior product. You can be assured all safety standards are being met when you purchase from us |
